Vintage Mini Hammer Brand Imperial 3 Blade Scout Camp Folding Pocket Knife 2.25 For Sale

Vintage Hammer Brand miniature pocket-sized three-blade multi-tool scout camp style pocket knife manufactured by the Imperial Knife Company under Patent Number 2037943, dating this piece to the late 1930s or 1940s era. This incredibly unique small-scale American utility tool is equipped with a miniature master clip-point cutting blade, a lift-style can opener, and a combination flathead screwdriver cap lifter blade. The base of the small frame retains its original steel clevis bail lanyard loop.

The knife features highly unique chevron or geometric herringbone patterned brown and gold tone wrap-around celluloid handle scales. It is in beautiful vintage condition with all folding blades showing strong, tight snap action when cycling open and closed. The metal handles and brass liners are solid with nice tight assembly pins. The steel components show a natural, uncleaned light age patina and faint sharpening marks but remain free of heavy active rust or deep pitting. The master tang features a beautifully crisp, highly legible patent stamp. Measures a scarce compact 2 1/4 inches long in the closed position.
