Vintage, and very good condition Mohawk Shelburne jack plane, It is approx 14 inches long with a blade width of 2 inches.
It was made by Millers Falls Manufactured circa 1940 or so. more than 80 years ago. This plane will last another long lifetime with normal maintenance.
Metal bed and all other metal parts are fine, no cracks breaks, or repairs. I placed a straight edge along the sole and it appears perfectly straight, no warping, see photo.
The rear tote handle and front knob are hardwood. They are original to the plane, in great condition no breaks or repairs.
The cutting blade has the Mohawk logo. It is nearly full length, it is straight and has been freshly sharpened with correct 25 degree bevel.
Ready for work. All adjustments move and work smoothly.

recently retired. One of my hobbies has been woodworking, but never had the time to do it as well as would like. A few years ago I became passionate about using vintage hand tools vs. battery or electric powered whenever it made sense to do so.
Today my passion still
thrives and I enjoy properly oiling/waxing, cleaning or refurbishing, if needed those same vintage woodworking tools.
My goal is to place as many
of these high quality made in the USA vintage hand tools back into
the hands of today’s craftsmen. I would never “part out” a good tool just for the proceeds. If the tool I have acquired is serviceable I will put it into as good of condition it can be and sell to friends or on . All I am trying to
