Vintage Mylflam 606 petrol pocket lighter made in Western Germany.
This is a genuine mid-century Mylflam pocket lighter, clearly stamped "MYLFLAM 606" and "Made in Western Germany" on the base. Mylflam Metallwaren GmbH (Frankfurt) was a well-regarded German manufacturer (est. 1860 – closed 1976) known for producing high-quality petrol lighters, often marketed under the "1000 Zünder" name.
The lighter features an attractive repeating geometric engraved pattern on the body and a classic chrome/nickel-plated finish with a flip-top lid. It is a traditional petrol (lighter fluid) model with the original-style mechanism.
Condition:
Good vintage used condition with honest age-related wear. The plating shows typical surface scratches and minor wear, especially on the edges, corners and base (clearly visible in the photos). No dents, major damage or missing parts. The mechanism appears complete and functional.
This lighter has not been tested with fluid and will require fresh lighter fluid and a new flint to operate (these are not included). Many collectors service these themselves or have them professionally restored.
Measurements
Compact pocket size, roughly 65mm tall × 40mm wide × 12mm thick when closed. Lightweight and easy to carry.
A nice example of post-war West German lighter manufacturing with a distinctive pattern that displays well.
