Original large embossed steel school-zone sign featuring the distinctive running schoolboy graphic.
This sign has never been mounted or installed. It has been stored for many years and shows age/storage-related handling marks, light scratches, scuffs and other minor imperfections, but these are from storage rather than roadside use.
The sign measures approximately:
30\" tall × 20\" wide

The reverse is particularly useful in showing the deeply embossed construction and lack of typical road-mounting wear.
This appears to be an older style school-zone sign. Based on its construction and design, I believe it is mid-20th century, but because no manufacturer or date is stamped on the sign, I am not representing an exact production year.
Vintage 15 MPH school-zone signage is documented historically, and collector sales continue to catalog older “School 15 MPH” signs.
Condition: Excellent vintage unused condition for its age. Never mounted. There are scratches, scuffs, minor paint loss/marks and storage wear from age and handling. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the condition description.
