Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic vintage Navajo (Diné) sand painting titled \"Water Creator\" by recognized artist B. Begay.
This stunning piece of Southwestern folk art features meticulous geometric and ceremonial iconography. The central \"Water Creator\" deity is wrapped beautifully by a multi-colored protective Rainbow Guardian deity and flanked by symmetrical feather motifs.
The artist created this piece using hand-ground, completely natural colored sandstones and mineral sands applied directly to a board base.
The reverse side of the painting features the original handwritten notes from the artist confirming the title \"Water Create\" the tribal ceremonial background, the materials used (\"natural sand stone...\"), and the clear signature of B. Begay. Its a little hard to decipher, but i think i got it, and the signature is unmistakeable.
