Up for sale is an exceptional, beautifully preserved pair of single-light elegant pressed glass candlesticks from the historic Indiana Glass Company (Dunkirk, Indiana). Produced during the late 1920s and into the 1930s, the \"Crystal Drop\" pattern (frequently referred to by collectors as the \"Victorian Style\") is a celebrated example of American Depression-era craftsmanship.
Designed to replicate the opulent, high-end imported European mantle lustres of the Victorian period, these candlesticks feature a striking balance of geometric and organic design. The baluster stems and flaring skirted bases are adorned with crisp diamond-point and crosshatch panels that catch the light beautifully, finished with an elegant serrated \"zippered\" rim edge along the very bottom foot.
