Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible Vintage Pairpoint Glass Cup Plate honoring the historic Boston and Sandwich Glass Company. Handcrafted in Sagamore, Massachusetts, by the Pairpoint Glass Company in 1981, this clear crystal cup plate is design variant number 124.
This piece was commissioned by the Thornton W. Burgess Society. The central medallion features an intricately engraved landscape layout of the original 19th-century Sandwich glass factory buildings, framed by a smooth frosted stippling and an elegant scalloped edge. This design was illustrated by Nina B. Sutton and engraved by Master Mold Cutter Alvin A. White. It is pressed in brilliant, clear lead crystal that catches natural window light beautifully.
