Offered is a vintage English-made Parker 51 Insignia fountain pen, also commonly referred to as the Parker 51 Signet. This higher-grade model features a lined rolled-gold cap and barrel, Parker arrow clip, pearlescent cap jewel, burgundy hood, and the classic Parker 51 hooded nib design.The factory markings include “PARKER,” a faint “51” marking, the Parker halo-arrow trademark, “1/10 12CT R. GOLD,” and “MADE IN ENGLAND.” The 1/10 12CT marking identifies the cap and barrel as 12-carat rolled gold; the pen is not solid gold.This model was normally fitted with a 14-carat gold nib and an Aerometric squeeze-filling system.
