Vintage Peacock Matchbox Paper Attractive Wood Matches Slide Collectible For Sale

Attractive small paper match box with a very pretty peacock top. The box is cardboard and measures approximately 1 x 1 3/4 x 1/2 inches. It previously held wood matches. The top is coated? It is not just paper - it gives the impression of enamel but is NOT and is just some sort of coating or special paper. Glaze does not fully go to edges of top. There is a 1 in the upper left corner. The scratchers have not been used. Not sure if this was previously part of a bridge set, or retro decor, but it remains UNUSED, unique and very attractive. Shows some storage wear and soil, but remains in good, unused shape. Please see photos in listing as they are part of description of item. MATCHES will NOT be included per post office regulations.
