Up for sale is an authentic vintage pre-WWII Craftsman 1/4" drive 3-piece hand tool set featuring the iconic underline Craftsman logo. Manufactured during the 1930s to early 1940s, this set represents classic American tool history with knurled handles and an open-gear ratchet design.
Included Tools in This Set:
- Craftsman 1/4" Drive Ratchet: Features open gear design and knurled grip handle.
- Craftsman 1/4" Drive Flex-Head Breaker Bar: Swivel head driver handle with knurled grip and hanging hole at base.
- Craftsman 1/4" Drive Sliding T-Bar Handle: Stamped Craftsman slider head with crossbar stop detents on each end.
Condition & Restoration Report:
This set has been fully serviced for listing: thoroughly degreased and processed through a rust-soak bath to eliminate surface rust. The treatment revealed a clean, dark vintage steel patina across the tools. There might still be small spots of surface rust that were not caught.
- Mechanical Function: 100% operational. The ratchet mechanism cycles smoothly in both directions, the flex-head swivel maintains tension, and all ball detents function properly to hold sockets.
- Cosmetics: Smooth dark oxidized patina with no heavy rust pitting, cracks, or owner initial etchings.
