This is extremely rare vintage novelty ring/ jewelry. It so in extremely good condition and even the mirror doesn't have age spots on it. When you open it the mirror is underneath the floral hand painted top of the ring. Then underneath that mirror is a little clip where you are supposed to put a little tube of lipstick . It clips into the ring . So all in one you have a compact mirror, lipstick and the convenience of checking and fixing your lips anywhere. No need for a ladies room , powder room or whatever. I could not find not one other ring like this and the ones I read about that were very rarely around or found are not in good condition. The ring says bonetto digits on the top which is what makes it an authentic 1980s piece of jewelry. The brand was known for these lipview rings in the 1980s they were called lipview rings . This one is a larger one than most. It is huge . Such a cool cool piece. Vintage at its best truly . It was a convenient way for a woman to apply lipstick and skip digging thru her purse to find her lipstick. And we all know that lipstick was a must for any proper lady back then . Sometimes there are reproductions but to find one made by a well known fashion novelty jewelry company like bonetto digits is super rare. It measures - 2.25" in length and 2.35" in width and 1.25* in height. No flaws. No chips . No cracks . No fading in the hand painted flowers. Even the closing mechanism that helps it click shut and holds it shut is in great shape. Very funky. Retro.
