Authentic crew issued vintage Red Adair Co. Wild Well Control firefighting jumpsuit. This piece is attributed to Billy Dreyer, a documented elite veteran lieutenant and firefighter who traveled the world alongside the legendary Red Adair. Dreyer was part of the highly selective, tight-knit crew dispatched to handle the world’s worst industrial disasters, including the historic 1982 Bombay High Offshore oil fire in India and the 1982 Tacoa refinery fires in Venezuela. He joined Red Adair’s core team in May 1978.
Jumpsuit has a zipper front with a snap at the top. Period correct branding with tag from Pacific Mfg. Corp., Conyers, Ga, Patches and lettering are entirely sewn and machine-chainstitched directly to the fabric. It features “Billy” script on the front and a large “Dreyer, Houston, Tx.” script on the back. Small “Red Adair Co. Wild Well Control” oval patch on the front right breast and the iconic, oversized matching patch across the back depicting a roaring blowout fire. Excellent vintage condition with light field wear consistent with authentic utility gear, which enhances its historical pedigree and display value.
Crew members in this era were frequently documented in contemporary news archives arriving at global disaster sites and press briefings wearing personalized red gear matching this exact configuration.
A rare opportunity to own a piece of true industrial Americana tied to a verified member of Red Adair’s legendary crew.
