This is from an estate and I do not have further information than what is below. Much of the information I have is gleaned from Google research.
This is a vintage Asian red lacquered jewelry or trinket box, or mini armoire. It features mother-of-pearl peacocks and floral inlay.
It is red, shiny, and has black accents. Drawer pulls are circles. Metal hinges are ornate and traditional style.
Drawers are lined with multicolor striped ribbons.
