Vintage Roseville Pottery 683-8 Blue Lily Planter Art Deco Floral Vase...:
$129.98

A beautiful and authentic piece of American art pottery, this vintage Roseville Pottery planter features a richly molded lily blossom in high relief against a striking cobalt-blue ground with stylized Art Deco swirl decoration. The elongated rectangular form is enhanced by integrated side handles and a gracefully sculpted profile, creating a piece that is equally at home in an Arts & Crafts collection, a period pottery display, or a sophisticated contemporary interior.

The underside bears the impressed Roseville U.S.A. mark along with shape number 683-8. The matte blue glaze displays exceptional depth and character, highlighting the sculptural floral design and intricate molded details throughout. Measuring approximately 10.5 inches long by 3.25 inches wide and 3 inches high, this planter is perfectly suited for display as a decorative art pottery piece, a floral vessel, or an elegant centerpiece. A wonderful example of Roseville\'s craftsmanship and enduring design legacy.

Roseville Pottery remains one of the most collected names in American art pottery. Founded in Roseville, Ohio, the company became famous for its molded floral designs, rich matte glazes, and distinctive Art Deco influences during the first half of the twentieth century. Pieces featuring strong relief decoration and unusual forms are especially desirable among collectors.

This example showcases many of the qualities that made Roseville famous: sculptural floral modeling, a sophisticated matte blue glaze, and a form that balances function with

artistic expression. The elongated planter shape displays beautifully on a shelf, mantel, or table and represents the enduring appeal of American studio-inspired pottery from the golden age of ceramic design.
