This vibrant and colorful Russian mini jewelry box is a handcrafted piece with an illustration on the top of the Moscow Kremlin and Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge. The box is wrapped in a vibrant purple silk Asian style fabric and has a gold tone trim with kiss lock clasp in the front. The interior of the box is line with red felt and has one small compartment three slots for holding rings. The material of the round artwork on top is unknown but may be a lacquer, resin or plastic and has a shimmery finish to the color.
The provenance of this piece is unknown. It may be a souvenir piece, although images online are not available to assist with the history. The box was found at an estate sale of a Russian women and inside the box is a printed paper with text in Russian.
The approximate size of the hexagonal box is 2 1/2\" diameter and 1 1/2\" in height.
The box is in good condition with no visible stains, chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. There are some signs small spots of tarnish on the gold tone metal. Please see pictures as they also serve as part of the description.
