This Vintage SHERIDAN Silver on Copper 5-piece Tea/Coffee Set from 1954 is a traditional and elegant set that includes a Butler's tray. The set is made of copper with silver plating which ensures durability and beauty. The large size and original design make it a valuable addition to any collector's kitchen or dining room.
I can date this to 1954 because it was purchased as a wedding gift according to the daughters at a fine estate where I purchased this. It was their job as little girls to polish this elegant set!!
This set was manufactured by The Sheridan Silver Company based in Tauton, MA.
All pieces are marked on the bottom but the mark is worn on the pieces- still legible however.
This set it large with a gorgeous butler’s tray . This tray is large and ornate and just exquisite.
It measures 25” in length ( including the handles) and is 15.75” wide. This tray is also footed standing approximately 1 1/2” high. The tray alone weighs a little over 6 pounds.
The larger coffee pot stands approximately 11.5” tall and weighs almost 3 pounds.
The tea pot is 10.5” tall and weighs about 2 pounds 13 ounces.
The double handled sugar bowl with lid is approximately 5.5” tall by 6.5” wide.
The creamer is about 4.25” tall by 5.5” wide.
This fabulous set will definitely make a statement in your home.
So fun to use and perfect for all your holiday entertaining or a tea party with a few special guests.
