Vintage Sengbusch U.S.A. self-closing inkwell featuring a heavy clear glass reservoir with black Sengbusch top.The top is clearly marked “SENGBUSCH U.S.A.” This is the later style of Sengbusch self-closing inkstand, designed to help reduce evaporation and accidental spills while providing access for a dip pen.The internal components remain present. The black internal component moves when the inkwell is inverted. A brown/tan fibrous or cork-like ring is also visible around the inner reservoir.The top is currently tight/stuck and has NOT been forced or removed. This piece is being sold as a vintage collectible and has not been tested with ink.Approximate measurements:
