Vintage Sheaffer Balance Vac-Fil Burgundy Fountain Pen 14K #5 Nib 5\" For Sale

Classic streamlined burgundy/red body with gold-tone trim. Pen measures approximately5 inches capped.

Features aSheaffer 14K No. 5 gold nib. I dip tested the nib and it writes successfully. The nib produces a fine line and demonstrates some line variation with pressure; please see the actual writing sample shown in the photos.

This pen uses Sheaffer\'sVacuum-Fil / plunger filling system. The filling mechanism hasnot been tested, so I am selling it without representing the filling system as functional. It may require servicing/restoration before being filled and used normally.

Cosmetically the pen is in quite good vintage condition. The burgundy body retains good color and shine. There are light scratches, handling marks and normal wear consistent with age. The trim shows age-related wear. I do not see any obvious cracks or major body damage.
