Authentic mid-century military souvenir pillow covers, also known as sweetheart pillowcases, dating back to the 1950\'s Cold War and Korean war era. These satin-style banners were popular sentimental keepsakes purchased by service members at United States training bases to send home to family. Each features different graphics. The red fringe sham is a poem dedicated to mother and dad from Fort Hood, Texas. The blue fringe sham is a poem dedicated to mom with Artillery & Missile Center logo from Fort Sill Oklahoma. The yellow fringe sham is another poem to mom with 5th Army from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The fringe borders are intact and show a natural amount of light wear that is appropriate and expected for a vintage textile item of this age.
