Up for sale is an authentic 1935 Art Deco English sterling silver mechanical champagne whisk (telescoping swizzle stick).
• DESIGN & FUNCTION: Features a classic geometric engine-turned diamond pattern on the barrel. The sliding collar glides smoothly along the handle to deploy and retract the internal wire tines, designed to gently soften effervescence in champagne or sparkling wine.
• HALLMARKS: Clear, crisp British hallmarks on the side of the barrel, including "E.R" (Maker's Mark), Anchor (Birmingham Assay Office), Lion Passant (.925 Sterling Purity Guarantee), and the capital letter "L" date code for 1935.
• CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with minor surface patina consistent with age. The sliding mechanism operates smoothly without sticking, and all internal wires are fully intact and functional.
