***These coasters are made from a vintage Sunweave Christmas tablecloth and feature rich green holly leaves, pine cones and red berries. The pattern is set diagonally on a background of white and red. The coaster backs are a red and white cotton print. They measure 4\" square and have2 layers of fleeceinside. Such a pretty and practical set - would be a wonderful gift!
These handmade items are created from vintage table linens and handkerchiefs that have been used and loved in their former lives.After the search for and discovery of the tablecloths and other items at estate sales and the like, I carefully wash, press and examine them to plan how they can be used.While I have done my best to cut around holes, snags and stains, there may be some signs of wear which is characteristic of vintage textiles.Remember that some of these fabrics are 70-80 years old (from the 1940\'s and 1950\'s!) and were often items used on a daily basis, so the occasional minor slub or very light stain validates its unique vintage roots! *All fabrics are cotton or linen, and all have been pre-washed for shrinkage and colorfastness.
*All seams are stitched and serged.Interfacing has been added to thinner fabrics for strength and durability.
