The front features a striking crowned queen portrait with red drapery, along with an illustrated California agricultural landscape, grape clusters, fields, trees and farm buildings.
The original printed artwork remains attached to the crate and has been preserved with a glossy finish. The crate itself has a beautiful warm reddish-brown/amber finish.
This is a complete original wooden crate, not a reproduction or a newly assembled display piece.
The crate shows normal age and use, including some scratches, scuffs, small edge/corner wear and imperfections to the original label. There is some surface wear to the artwork, but the graphics, lettering and colors remain very attractive and highly legible. Please examine all photographs carefully, as the photos are an important part of the description.
The inside shows the original wood slat construction and nail assembly.
