Vintage triangular hinged metal tin decorated throughout with elaborate Roman Circus Maximus-style chariot racing and classical scenes. The unusual triangular shape is wrapped with detailed imagery including racing chariots and horses, spectators, riders, attendants, architectural columns and classical figures. Decorative borders and column motifs continue around the edges and corners.
The lid features a large raised/embossed chariot-racing scene, while the sides depict additional Roman-style processions, horses and figures. A wonderfully unusual decorative tin with strong display appeal for collectors of vintage tins, classical imagery, horse racing or Roman-themed pieces.
