0-400 psi Pressure Gauge.
This features the desirable "White on Black" Dial Face with the highly stylized pointer or needle.The white remains bright and crisp.The back features incorporated mounting pads. This kept the gauge away from where it was mounted providing an air gap keeping heat or condensation from the mounting surface away from the gauge.Features a Double Spring design. This gauge was constructed to survive in a harsh industrial environment. This is a working gauge. View video, I used air from a compressor.I have no idea if it is calibrated, it showed what my small old little compressor gauge showed so it should be in the ball park. Although it is still working it is over 100 years old, so I can not guarantee it will continue as such, so it is being sold as is. (I would not put full or near full pressure to any vintage gauge without having it fully checked out by a certified technician beforehand.)Online research dates this gauge from the 1910's thru the 1920's.The Brass surround measures 8 3/16 inches across.The reveal (the exposed glass) is 6 1/4 inches across although the gauge was referred to as a 6 3/4".The back measures 8 1/2 inches across.Gauge is 2 3/4 inches thickMounting holes are 5/16" in diameter.
The gauge weighs 7 pounds 12.2 ounces.
I did not polish the brass, all I did was wipe the dust off and cleaned the glass.
This shouldn't happen BUT>> This is a precision instrument. Shipping may jostle the internals so that it may have to be reset and calibrated. I can not be responsible if when you receive it the needle no longer sits at zero. If you purchase, this is not a reason for a return. I have just stated it, you know. Of course all other shipping damage will be covered by shipping insurance. I have shipped others with no problems but if this is an issue for you then please do not buy it.
