This is a beautiful, highly authentic vintage Norwegian National Flag manufactured by the famous Bonner Fahnenfabrik in Bonn, Germany (Rheindorferstr, 224).
Based on the official factory address stamp and font graphics style, this item dates precisely to the pre-war/WWII era (circa 1928–1945).

**MATERIAL, CONSTRUCTION & TEXTURE NOTE:**
This flag is crafted from a period-correct, coarse-woven wool bunting and linen blend, open weave texture. It features the classic open-weave construction designed specifically for durability against maritime winds and weather. The design is explicitly dye-printed/screen-printed directly onto the single-piece fabric field rather than stitched sections—a method highly favored during the pre-war and WWII era for durable naval and outdoor utility flags. It is somewhat rough to the touch (not soft modern cotton), offering absolute peace of mind regarding its historical age and good antique condition. Fabric retains strong, vibrant red, white, and blue colors. Original rope/toggle header. Light, honest aging and minor toning on the canvas border strip as expected for its age. No major holes, stains, or fraying. There is one pea size area with tiny holes, close to the canvas band, on the blue, (see phots of front & reverse/back side). There are two vague light pink areas of stain on the white (from red bleed). There are other spots and areas of stain throughout, as shown in photos. Thank you for looking.
