Vintage WWII Submarine RENE Tie Clip Bar Tiebar Tieclip Military US Navy WW2 USA For Sale

For sale is a submarinetiebar/tieclip. My best guess is that this is from the WWII era and might be related to the naval shipyards in my region of New England (southern Maine). Not sure what the "RENE" means. Maybe a sweetheart thing, maybe not? The tiebar is in fairly good shape with some general wear and oxidation, as pictured. I did clean off the front of the pin but not the back. Buyer pays USPS shipping.
