World War II-era U.S. military lensatic field compass manufactured by the renowned W. & L.E. Gurley instrument company out of Troy, New York.
This historic piece of field gear features the iconic black dial face cleanly stamped with "W. & L.E. GURLEY, TROY, N.Y. U.S.A." along with its standard military directional markers. The rugged metal folding housing, integrated sighting slit, and thumb loop remain entirely intact.
Condition Notes:
Exterior Casing: Shows honest age-related wear, patina, and minor surface finish rubbing consistent with military field use.
Glass & Dial: The glass cover is intact. The internal dial and needle move freely when rotated. Last photo shows it next to a modern compass with both pointing the same direction!
Please review the photos carefully to evaluate the exact cosmetic condition for yourself before offerding or purchasing.
