Vintage Westland Co. wind-up musical jewelry box. Made in Taiwan R.O.C. for Westland Co., San Leandro, California.
Pink lacquered wood. The lid is a commercial Pierrot Love–style image: pale face, dark cap-cut hair with a forehead curl, oversized eyes, ruffled pastel costume, and a bouquet of roses. This is the early-1980s Pierrot look popularized by Mira Fujita prints — an imitation of that character, not a marked Schmid “Pierrot Love” artist-series piece.
Gold-tone hinge. Beige flocked interior with a small lift-out tray. Four black plastic feet. Wind-up key on the wood base.
