Beautiful vintage Westmoreland Glass owl perched on a stack of books, featuring the distinctive blue/cobalt satin glass finish and sparkling rhinestone-style eyes.
This is the Westmoreland Owl on Books (OOB-1) design, standing approximately 3½ inches tall. The molded Westmoreland WG mark can be found on the base near the owl's feet, as shown in the photos.
The blue satin/frosted glass has a beautiful appearance that changes under different lighting. This piece is also UV reactive and fluoresces under UV/black light, producing a noticeable glow. Please see the UV photo.

Overall, this is a lovely vintage piece with good color, attractive satin finish, and intact decorative eyes.
There is ONE small flea bite/chip on the back corner of the upper book/base. It is located on the rear corner and is shown clearly in the close-up photograph.
The chip is relatively small and does not detract significantly from the display appearance when viewed from the front, but it is present and should be considered when evaluating condition.
There may also be minor surface wear consistent with age and previous display.
