Absolutely beautiful extra-large vintage brass elephant sculpture featuring a dramatic raised trunk, long tusks, oversized ears and wonderful sculptural detailing throughout.
This is an impressive statement piece — standing approximately 19-1/2 inches tall and weighing more than 12 pounds. It is exceptionally substantial and much larger and heavier than the typical tabletop brass elephant figurine.
The elephant is wonderfully modeled in a seated pose with one front leg raised and its long trunk extending high overhead. Detailed engraved lines accent the trunk, while the expressive eyes, large dimensional ears, tusks, individually detailed toes and curved tail give the sculpture tremendous character.

The raised trunk is traditionally associated in decorative elephant imagery with good fortune, prosperity and positive energy, making this a wonderful display piece as well as an impressive collectible.
The brass has developed a gorgeous aged appearance with varying shades of warm gold, darker patina, oxidation, spotting and surface character throughout. There are scratches, marks and other signs of age and previous display, all of which contribute beautifully to its authentic vintage appearance. It has not been aggressively polished, allowing the naturally aged brass character to remain.
