Vintage photo - Studio portrait - Hamilton, Ohio sports team - Gay interest For Sale

A vintage studio portrait of a men\'s basketball team posing in tank-style jerseys. The mount at the bottom right is embossed with the photographer\'s stamp: Jacobi Murray, Hamilton, Ohio. The “PRCE” on the jerseys likely stands for a local recreational league sponsor, corporate industrial league team, or community center. During the Great Depression, Hamilton was known as an industrial powerhouse, home to massive manufacturing operations like the Champion Coated Paper Company (later Champion Paper), the Herring-Hall-Marvin Safe Co., and the Hooven, Owens, Rentschler Company. These industrial giants sponsored highly competitive company leagues managed under employee organizations. These teams played in the famous Hamilton Industrial Basketball League, drawing massive crowds at local gymnasiums.
