Original 1990s rOtring 600 ballpoint pen in matte black. This is the real vintage 600 — all-metal hexagonal brass barrel, knurled grip, crisp click mechanism, pocket clip, and the signature red ring at the knock end. It has the weight and build quality that made the original 600 series a design classic.
How you can tell it's an original: the "rOtring 600" logo is PRINTED on the barrel in red. The current reissue 600 has an engraved logo — the printed-logo pens are the 1990s production, and they're the ones collectors look for. This pen is the Japan production — "JAPAN" is embossed on the clip band.
Tested: the click mechanism works and the pen writes. A refill is installed and working (its age is unknown). When it runs out, the pen takes standard Parker-style G2 ballpoint refills, available anywhere.
Condition: pre-owned vintage pen with a strong finish overall. There is light brassing on the rim of the knock end around the red ring, and a worn spot on the top indicator area of the knock — both shown clearly in the close-up photos. Light handling marks consistent with use. No box or case — pen only, exactly as pictured.
