Retro 1950s Kitsch "Chubby" Santa Shelf Sitter Shakers 🎅✨
Calling all vintage Christmas and mid-century modern (MCM) collectors! Up for sale is a gorgeous, authentic matching pair of 1950s ceramic Santa Claus salt and pepper shakers
.These were manufactured in Japan and distributed by Enterprise Sales & Distributors (ESD) in Toronto, Canada. One figurine still proudly retains its original, highly collectible metallic foil label reading "An Enterprise Exclusive / Japan."
Both figurines feature the authentic stamped model catalog number 30579 and the original country-of-origin ink stamps on their bases.
What makes this specific set so desirable is its rare, wide, "chubby" shelf-sitter silhouette. They feature a unique dual-purpose design—the contoured bases let them sit flat on a table as shakers, or they can slide onto standard wax taper candles to act as festive candle huggers/climbers.
Dimensions:
Height: 3.5"
Width: 3.5"
Condition:Excellent vintage condition with beautiful gloss, bright red hand-painted cold lacquer, and great texture on the trim. No cracks, chips, or major glaze crazing. Please note: One of the Santas has some light black scuffing on its back from manufacturing, which is typical for items of this age and does not affect how beautifully they display from the front! Original bottom stoppers are included.
Perfect addition to a Lefton, Napco, or Holt-Howard holiday display collection!
