Up for sale is an exceptional piece of authentic mid-century military history: a pair of vintage 1940s to 1950s US Army Khaki Cotton Twill Double-Pleated Chino Uniform Shorts. These shorts were uncovered directly from a veteran’s military footlocker, where they have been safely preserved for decades.The original veteran owner had an incredible 20-year career in the US military from 1943 to 1963, serving with the 25th Infantry Division (\"Tropic Lightning\") in the Pacific during WWII, the 24th Infantry Division (\"Taro Leaf\") during the Korean War, and later working as a US Army recruiter.Constructed from heavy-duty, indestructible 8.2oz military cotton twill fabric, these shorts feature a double-pleated front, belt loops, dual slash side pockets, and two button-down rear pockets. There are absolutely no holes, fabric dry rot, or structural tears. The zipper is fully intact and operational.Provenance & Condition Notes:• The waistband features highly unique, multi-layered military service history. The outside belt line carries the veteran\'s personal ink laundry code \"R-3654\" (matching other uniform pieces from this estate). The inner white lining contains additional \"R-3654\" markings alongside official military supply black-out stamps from service rotation.• There is a horizontal line of visible small brown storage/rust spots running across the lower right side leg fabric (detailed in photos).
