Exquisite Quality, Carved From One Solid Piece Of What I Believe Is Ebony [Black] Wood

This gorgeous sculpture is carved with wonderful and very lifelike skill, and portrays a beautiful woman adorned with long earrings and a necklace with a large [tall] head wrapping.

This sculpture is of the best quality- every inch has carving on it, and the toolmarks arevery beautiful and varied.

No chips, no nicks, no cracks, no repairs. Color ofwood is very deep black and glossy. Has a very nice sheen and is super smooth to the touch. There is one small lighter spot in the wood at the rim of her head covering, which is likely where a small knot was in the wood before carving

This is a piece that will look stunning on displayand would make a beautiful addition to any African Art collection.
