Pair of vintage Bucyrus-Erie 38-B ceramic advertising trays featuring two different illustrations of the iconic 38-B crawler excavator. These promotional trays are approximately 6.5 inches in diameter and make excellent display pieces for collectors of heavy equipment, construction memorabilia, and industrial advertising. While sometimes referred to as advertising ashtrays, these examples have no cigarette rests and are better described as tip trays or catchall trays. These were produced as promotional advertising pieces for Elton R. Dahlke Advertising Ideas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This set includes two different Bucyrus-Erie 38-B illustrations, making it a great display pair for collectors of construction equipment, mining memorabilia, industrial advertising, or Bucyrus-Erie collectibles.

Condition:
• Both trays retain bright, colorful graphics with light vintage wear consistent with age.
• One tray is in excellent vintage condition.
• The second has a small flea-bite chip on the rim (shown in photos). The chip is minor and does not detract from its display appeal.
• No cracks or repairs noted.
