Vintage Early 1900s Edd Baum Boy Portrait Cabinet Card Photo Sepia 4x6 Original

Vintage original sepia cabinet card photograph with overall age toning and typical handling and storage wear. Front image shows light surface scuffs and handling marks visible in glare, scattered tiny dark spots, a faint horizontal surface impression near the lower area, and some gloss variation but no tears or paper loss. Card mount has light soiling and foxing, small dark marks near the lower edge, mild rounded corner and edge wear, and a toned reverse with a few smudges and pencil inscription Edd Baum; offered loose and unframed with no additional accessories.

Original vintage early 1900s sepia-tone studio cabinet card photograph depicting a young boy standing beside an ornate wicker chair in a formal portrait pose.

The boy wears a neatly tailored double-breasted short pants suit with matching jacket and knicker-length trousers, a high-collared shirt and patterned bow tie, long dark stockings, and lace-up boots, with a visible watch chain draped across his waistcoat area for a refined turn-of-the-century appearance.

He stands with one hand in his pocket and the other at his side before a painted studio backdrop with a decorative column and patterned floor, while the elaborate wicker armchair at his side adds texture and period detail to the composition.

The image is printed as a small-format sepia photograph mounted to a light brown cabinet card with rounded corners, with the lower front margin printed Rippel's Studios at left and Sunbury, Pa. at right identifying the photographer and location.

The reverse of the mount is plain cardboard showing a handwritten pencil inscription reading Edd Baum, likely naming the sitter, and the piece is an original early 20th-century studio portrait suitable for collections of boys' portraits, Pennsylvania photography, and cabinet card social history images.
