Vtg Folk Art Chicken Hen Pin Cushion Tea Egg Cozy Pot Holder Russian Red Black For Sale

If I remember correctly, this was given to me by someone who came to the US from Russia in the 1980s. It measures about 6\" in diameter when laid flat. It is lightly filled with a soft material. It has a loop for hanging. It is made from a woven textile which is most likely a cotton or cotton blend fabric. I am not sure what it is used for. I tried researching and some ideas might be a tea cozy (although it is not deep), an egg cozy (although it would only lie flat over an egg cup), a tea cup cozy, or a pin cushion. The colors are black and red.
