The figure is individually carved with an expressive face and is dressed in a blue cap and vest, bright yellow shirt, blue pants, and yellow-and-blue shoes. The bold colors and simplified carving give him a wonderful primitive / naïve folk-art character.
The bottoms of the feet show exposed wood and visible hand-working/tool marks. No maker’s signature or identifying mark was found.
