Set of three (3) vintage Royal Adderley, \"Fragrance\" pattern footed tea or coffee cups. Made by Ridge Potteries in England, this mid-century English fine Bone China style is characterized by a delicate subtle and elegant vertical molded ribbing or swirling flutes on a snow-white porcelain base. The floral motifs are transferware bouquets showing pink roses paired with small purple accent flowers and green foliage. The trimming is gilded gold along the rim of the cup as well as an accent striping down the handles. The cups have a purple backstamp that was used by Ridgway Potteries in the early 1960s, approximately from 1962 to 1965.During this period, the Ridgway Potteries group owned the Adderley brand and the purple backstamp is a specific corporate mark that includes a crown logo, the \"Royal Adderley\", \"Ridgway Potteries\" name, and the \"Fragrance\" pattern name printed in a matching purple script. The backstamp color was chosen to deliberately match the prominent purple and pink floral hues of the \"Fragrance\" pattern itself. These beautiful tea cups can also be use to serve coffee and will add a touch of elegant charm to your table.
