Vintage World War I American Red Cross Homefront Collection – 4-Piece Estate Lot

Up for sale is a beautiful, highly cohesive group of original American Red Cross homefront ephemera and textile pieces dating directly to the World War I era. This historic family collection has been kept together for over a century and is being offered as a single lot.

What is Included:

1. Original Red Cross Worker/Medic Armband: A classic white canvas/cotton armband featuring a boldly stitched red cross emblem. Includes the original cloth tie strings completely intact. Displays light age-related toning/browning consistent with its age, but remains structurally excellent with no major tears.

2. \"Gift of the American Red Cross\" Playing Cards (Complete Deck): Features the original striking red and white card box marked \"Not to be Sold / Permit No. 1 / Date.\" The deck is 100% complete with all 52 cards, plus both original Jokers included. The cards show very light use, and the box has typical edge wear but remains structurally solid with the top flap intact.

3. Hand-Dated WWI Red Cross Paper Donation Tags (Qty 2): Two incredibly rare survivals of paper ephemera from the Second Red Cross War Fund drive. One tag reads \"Material Fund,\" and the other reads \"Help To-day.\" Most importantly, the reverse side of one tag features a beautifully preserved, pencil-written inscription reading: \"Saturday, April 27th, 1918.\" Both are safely preserved in protective plastic slips.
