This knife was made from a BUCK BROTHERS 1800’S cut down blade. The blade was fashioned into a military style knife during the first or possibly second WORLD WAR.
The knife was purchased at a military show years ago with a broken/destroyed handle.
I had a wood worker create a new copy of the original and add a period guard. The original did not have a metal guard.
The handle is dark mahogany and very comfortable to hold. ….show the knife and a picture from a military book with a similar style knife. The picture is shown only to show a similar knife …..the picture and obviously the knife are not included in this sale. knife blade has been used…carried…and sharpened.
There is discoloration and age related pitting on the blade.
Based on the manufacturer (BUCK BROTHERS) the blade is over 130-150 years old.
The tan case is vintage and not original to the knife. It keeps the knife safe.
