These are 100% WWII ORIGINAL!This is a WWII Allied PsyOp Leaflet dropped over the Philippines and Japan. It measures 5.25x8.25". Please see my photos for a better idea of the state of the item. Please let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures!
This WWII Allied psychological warfare propaganda leaflet was produced by the Psychological Warfare Branch (PWB) in the Pacific Theater to demoralize Imperial Japanese soldiers stationed across the Philippine islands. The front features artwork depicting an exhausted, gaunt Japanese soldier lying across a map of the Philippines, accompanied by vertical Japanese text reading "To the Darkness of the Coming Day" (來る日の闇へ). The reverse side bears a full text message addressed to Japanese officers and soldiers (日軍將兵諸君), describing the hopeless strategic situation, severe supply shortages, cut-off retreat lines, and rampant hunger faced by isolated garrisons, ultimately encouraging surrender and peaceful reconciliation rather than useless sacrifice.
