This is a WWII-era Imperial Japanese commemorative medal issued in 1935 (Showa 10) to mark the 600th anniversary of Kusunoki Masashige, a legendary samurai known for his loyalty to Emperor Go-Daigo and his sacrifice at the Battle of Minatogawa (1336).

Medal Details:

• Front Side:

• Features a samurai on horseback, wielding a sword.

• The inscription reads:

“大楠公六百年祭記念” (Dai Nankō 600-nen Sai Kinen)

→ “600th Anniversary of Kusunoki Masashige”

• Below the image:

“昭和十年” (Shōwa 10-nen)

→ “Showa 10 (1935)”

• Back Side:

• Shows a battlefield scene with banners and a memorial monument.

Historical Significance:
