French order for mobilization of the military dated 2 September 1939, the day after Nazi Germany invaded Poland and the day before France declared war on Nazi Germany. In really nice condition and framed. I personally purchased this in France and brought it home. Framed. Incredible piece of history. Please see below for French and translation. Par décret du Président de la République, la mobilisation des armées de terre, de mer et de l’air est ordonnée, ainsi que la réquisition des animaux, voitures, moyens d’attelage, aéronefs, véhicules automobiles, navires, embarcations, engins de manutention et de tous les moyens nécessaires pour suppléer à l’insuffisance des moyens ordinaires d’approvisionnement de ces armées.

ORDER OF GENERAL MOBILIZATION
By decree of the President of the Republic, the mobilization of the land, naval, and air forces is ordered, as well as the requisition of animals, vehicles, draft equipment, aircraft, motor vehicles, ships, boats, handling equipment, and all means necessary to compensate for the insufficiency of the ordinary supply resources of these armed forces.
THE FIRST DAY OF GENERAL MOBILIZATION IS
September 2, 1939
Every French citizen subject to military obligations must, under penalty of being punished with the full severity of the law, comply with the instructions contained in his MOBILIZATION BOOKLET.
This order applies to ALL MEN not currently serving under the colors and belonging to the ARMY, NAVY, AND AIR FORCE, including REGISTERED SEAMEN, men belonging to the COLONIAL TROOPS, and men of the AUXILIARY SERVICE.
Civil and military authorities are responsible for carrying out this decree.
