Watt Pottery Moon and Stars Green Glaze Yellow Ware 7\" Casserole with Lid c1940s For Sale

Watt Pottery produced its distinctive Moon & Stars yellowware during the 1930s–1940s, prior to the company\'s better-known hand-painted patterns. “Moon & Stars” is a collector\'s name for the molded design, which was produced with several colored glazes, including this attractive green.

Bowl measures approximately 7.25\" across by 3\" tall; with the lid in place, it measures approximately 4.25\" tall.

Both the bowl and lid have crazing, which is typical of vintage Watt pottery. The bowl has a hairline crack along the bottom and some darkened areas along the rim. The lid has one chip along the rim and a few very small flea-bite-sized chips. The underside also has marks from where the piece rested on a stand during kiln firing.
