Traditional size 2022 vintage club Woodstock on Indian pony model. Will come with certificate of authenticity and the actual original box and packaging(which will be in case in a proper shipping box as well).
The woodgrain paint (this is not actually made of wood) on the Woodstock model is more like a chocolate color than woodgrain. This particular model does show some nice but subtle woodgrain streaks. . This model is intended to look like older Breyer horses, so they are not as smooth as contemporary Breyer production.
This is a very charming model!! The feather details do stand out as they are hand-painted, and are particularly well done on this actual model-very very well done. The feather colors pop next to the chocolatey goodness brown of the model body.
This model does have factory flaws that are evident, particularly the right front fetlock, there is a flaw in the mold-it does not cause integrity, problems, but there is definitely a flaw.
Please note, that I have another of these models and both of them show this same factory flaw on the right front fetlock so it might be a model issue.
Note that the white socks are painted they are not bare plastic. There is some overspray on the hooves. Please do examine the legs and socks areas carefully in the photos. That said these flaws do not take away from this Woodstock being a lovely shelf or display mold.
When I look at the two models I have, this one has better woodgrain markings, and the feathers are painted more perfectly. The fetlock painting is a bit oversprayed and rough on both models model but just slightly better on the other model. They both have the same factory flaw on right front fetlock. It's a tossup which is better so I'm keeping my original model as it has been on display, and offering this one that has not been displayedfor sale.
I purchased it secondhand myself from another collector, intending it as a gift for a young family member, but they have requested a specific model they prefer. Their loss is your gain.
Most models come with factory flaws.
