Oak Ringer Box
About this phone:
Many hours of time went into restoring the telephone itself. It
was completely disassembled. Each component both inside and
outside of the phone right down to the smallest screw washand
cleaned and polished.
The phone has Nickel accents on the Bells, Transmitter Tag,
and card holder.
The body was repainted with care to be like the original.
The dialwas disassembled, cleaned, lightly oiled, checked for
calibration and worksnicely. The finger stop was polished
to a shine.Thedial number plate has nicecrisp numbers.
The hook switch and dial contacts were cleaned with originalBell
Telephone Seal Bond paperspecially designed for the purpose.
The transmitter is the earlier type with the Nickle plated
Banana Tag that has thepatent dates.
The receiver and mouthpiece were polished to a nice shine.
They went through a 10-step finishing process to make it like new.
The suede bottom was replaced with new.
A new line cord was installed so that it will fit into
today'smodern land line jacks. Just plug it in.
The Candlestick requires aseparate ringer box in order to
function. This early Oak RingerBox has a key to open the top
and hinges in the back. The outsideNickel bells make
for a beautiful display. It was completely disassembled,
painstakingly refinished and refitted to a working subset.
It has new rubber feet on the bottom to prevent scratching.
The phone is fully functional and tested. It dials out and rings
on incoming calls. It sounds like an old-time phone.
If you would like to customize the phone I can change
the dial card to another type. The number dial plate can be
changed to the Rural style that has black numbers only. The
bells can be black or brass.
Just let me know if you would like
other customizing.
All antiquerotary phones require a traditional landline
for dialingout. If you have another type of phone
service, check with yourprovider as you may need
a pulse to tone converter to dial out. They can be
purchased on and easily added to the end of
the phone line jack.
