Here is an excellent Newsstand Edition of Wolverine #4 (December 1982) in low end Very Fine Condition by Chris Claremont, Frank Miller, and Joe Rubinstein. The Newsstand issues are more valuable and highly collectible compared to the Direct Sales editions since they were always subject to additional and extreme handling issues out on the racks in stores or at your local drug store – it is amazing to find them in Near Mint condition. \"Honor\" is the fourth issue of the four-issue Wolverine limited series published by Marvel Comics. It is the first title to spotlight the titular anti-hero Wolverine. The issue was written by Chris Claremont with interior artwork and cover artwork provided by Frank Miller. Finished art, inks and cover embellishment were provided by Joe Rubinstein. The issue was colored by Lynn Varley and lettered by Tom Orzechowski. The series was edited by Louise Jones. The comic, published by Marvel Comics, reflects the superhero genre of US Comics and is a collectible item for fans of X-MEN, WOLVERINE, and Marvel Comics.
The condition is in low end Very Fine, and all of the pages are completely intact. Per the O.W.L. scale (Overstreet Whiteness Level), it has WHITE pages. The Staples (Silver) are strong and not loose, discolored, or rusted. The color is excellent in very glossy condition retaining the majority of its original luster. There are some spinal color breaks and stress lines on the spine as noted in the photos. There are some bends and a few dimples, but there are no creases, tears, folds, dings, fingernail dimples (found at the top of the cover when pulling out of a bag). The corners are very close to being sharp. No indications of wear or soiling – an excellent condition issue! This is perfect book to get pressed if you choose to get this issue certified and graded. It would jump it up into the Near Mint category.
