This Handsomfossilshark’s tooth is uncommonly large at an Impressive 2.40 inches (61 mm) in length from top to tip and capped with a custom 24 Karat, Gold Platedover 925 sterling silver pendant and accented with a lively emerald-cutamethyst gem. The preserved fossil enamel coating is a dark gray, almost black with no damage and mild serrations along both edges.
The teeth of the giant ancient shark, Megalodon, are among the most prized specimens for the prehistoric fossil collector. They are similar to those of today's Great White, but considerably larger. They were the largest carnivorous fish ever to have swum the oceans of our planet reaching lengths of up to 70 feet. They lived between 1.5 to 28 million years ago.
